an easy, inexpensive way to spruce up your home is with chalkboard paint.
it’s great for kids, obviously, but i’m also talking about chic, cool ideas for decorating. here is my chalkboard paint for our kitchen pantry doors. i took a barefoot contessa cookbook and had my nephew use his design, architect handwriting to write words from recipes.
i had him do the same for the kitchen cut-out but use the all-important cocktail words:

I love this idea! I’m so glad I saw your kitchen in person – what you did with chalkboard paint is so fun and looks awesome. I’m adding chalkboard paint to my shopping list – now I just have to decide where to paint. Any ideas?
thanks lori! i think the kitchen is a great place to use the paint or i like the idea of getting old old mirror or picture frame and painting the inside and hanging it up. I’m also wanting to paint a portion of our bathroom wall so we can write some inspirations up there! XXOO
