before takeoff, an older gentleman and his wife walked down the aisle struggling with their two carry-ons each. after taking their seat behind me, a woman in first class got up out of her seat, walked down the aisle and knelt down behind me, addressing the older man:
“pardon me, sir. but i overheard your conversation in the airport with the gentleman serving in the armed forces. i wanted to thank you for your service in world war 2. also, this is my card. we own a fish farm called rushing water fisheries and we have a restaurant too. the owner is also a world war 2 veteran and i would like to offer a complimentary dinner for you and your wife with our owner to thank you for your service. we would be blessed to have you be our guest. “
